I'm not your design systems gal. I'm everything else.

I design for the moments where the rules get complicated. Mature products, eligibility logic, integrations, four stakeholders who each want something reasonable and incompatible. Senior Product Designer, seven-plus years across banking, healthcare, and large-scale marketplaces.

Design is the one language business, engineering, and legal all speak. Once people can see the thing, they can finally talk about the thing. Most of my job is getting to that artifact fast enough that the argument becomes productive.

Every new project, I'm an alien dropped on a new planet. I didn't start out knowing banking regulations. I didn't start out knowing the American healthcare system. I show up knowing nothing, listen hard, and let my tools carry me the rest of the way. Being the layperson in the room is useful, because that's who these things are actually for.

After that it's mostly unglamorous. Lots of ideas, so we have something to argue about. Figuring out not just what we want but what we can build, since the constraints are usually the real problem. Testing early enough that real people can still change my mind. And staying in it through the handoff, specs and QA and the whole walk, so what ships is what we meant.

When I'm not crafting seamless user interactions, you'll find me exploring the beauty of nature through floral design, horticulture, and urban farming.
